Virginia Dixon lives in Toronto, Ontario. From 2001-2005 she owned and operated the Pteros Gallery, exploring the intercourse of art and word and representing the visual art of many of Canada’s poet-artists. She paints and writes for art magazines and exhibition catalogues.
STATEMENT
Painting allows me to me to portray the metaphysical qualities that are sensed but otherwise not visible in the material world, or as Max Beckmann said, “- to make the invisible visible through reality.”
