Linda Stillman is an artist whose main focus is on investigating concepts of time, memory and nature. She works in various media: painting, collage, photography, sculpture and installation. Her work is eclectic, but consistently concept based and influenced by a minimalist sensibility.
She works in her studios in New York and in Hillsdale, New York. The country and her gardens provide her with inspiration and raw materials for her art.
She exhibits regularly and is active in the New York art world. Her work is in many private collections. One of her “Daily Paintings” of the sky was recently on view at the Andrea Meslin Gallery in Chelsea. Her colorful pigment drawings are being shown this summer at the OK Harris in SoHo.
She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the School of Visual Arts. She studied for two years at the Art Student’s League and received her MFA in Visual Art in 2003 from Vermont College.
